The Story

IMPORTED FROM ITALY

Adoro Helicopters are one of our cherished traditional pasta shapes. Known as “maccheroni” in Neapolitan culture, they are a symbol of Naples’ culinary heritage. An 18th-century tale tells of Pulcinella, who, when denied a plate of macaroni as too common for his rank, exclaimed, “Mo’, mo’ me sprincepo” that is, I am ready to abdicate in order to receive my plate of macaroni.

With their helical shape, these maccheroni don’t need elaborate sauces to shine. We recommend a simple fresh tomato and basil dressing, which in just fifteen minutes creates a dish of unmistakable elegance and flavor.

Ingredients

Durum wheat semolina, water. Contains gluten, it might contain trace of egg.

Storing and cooking instructions

Keep in a cool and dry place. Cooking time: 11 minutes.
